Definitely a must try brunch spot when you're in Mexico City. The food was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend that you either get there early or be prepared to wait a bit. Luckily I went on a weekday in the middle of the week and only had to wait about 15 minutes. But I went closer to closing time and a lot of of the popular menu items were already sold out by then. Their tortillas were absolutely delicious. Honestly everything it was good. Next time I'm back in CDMX I will definitely be trying this place out again

The food was amazing found this place on YouTube with Anthony Bourdain about 2 years ago and I finally was able to try out the food and let me tell you the best comfort food you will ever try . The service was amazing and anything we wanted we got quick the ambiance was nice there was 3 guys in a trio singing some old songs that my mom used to hear as a child . If your in this area come on down and oh yea it's get jammed packed here so come early they open at 6:30am-12pm .

Great place for breakfast, the chilaquiles were amazing and so the pork in green sauce. We highly recommend the beans with eggs and the Mexican prepared eggs.

This hearty soul quenching mom and pop shop is worth waking up early for. And they even take credit card! Shop opens at 6:30am (5:30am prepandemic era) and I think as long as you get here early enough, as some sources suggest arriving before 8:30am, you shouldn't have to wait long. We got there around just before 7am and had no problem grabbing a seat. It was a bit confusing if one would order at the kitchen but one of the friendly staff told us to sit wherever we'd liked. Once seated a kind waitress came by and took our drink orders. After getting a round of cafe de olla, we ordered their famed eggs and beans as well as their green chilaquiles with eggs. Don't let the strange appearance of the mixed eggs and beans fool you - it was savory and filling! The green chilaquiles was excellent as well with runny eggs and ample servings of shredded cheese. The green tomatillo sauce was mildly spicy. The table side salsa boasted of charred tomatoes and poblanos (not sure if poblanos or jalapeños) - super fresh and smoky. A trio of 3 men started singing and serenading the customers by the door as we were leaving. Could they be any more charming? Make this stop a MUST for your CDMX trip. So worth it.

AMAZING. I would come back for the bean and egg dish alone, but I also really enjoyed the chilaquiles. Service was quick and food was cheap and delicious. Would be a place I would go out of my way for in Mexico City

The chilaquiles changed my life. I love a verde chilaquiles and these did not disappoint. They're very soupy and perfect to pair with the frijoles con huevo. My husband and I speak very little Spanish (working on it) but everyone was very nice and helpful with recommendations. The salsa they leave on the table is charred deliciousness. The vibe is shared tables and basic which we love. There's a line but it moves fast. Also the short lived live music was fun!

So word in the street was to be here before the open at 530am or you weren't guaranteed to get in. Well Covid changed that we found out when we waited outside til just after 6am when they opened the doors. No line but in normal times I bet the story is different. We had this delicious frijole and huevos creation along with amazing verde chilaquiles!! I am always in search for the most amazing chilaquiles, rojo are my favorite but these were delicious!! I would recommend it, I just don't know what time to go to be sure you get served.

Outstanding, and well worth the short-ish trip south from the city center. First visit, we stuck to the classics -- chilaquiles verdes con huevos, and their famous refritos con huevo. We got the latter with tostadas and salsa and made excellent tacos out of them. The former was simply an excellent version of that classic dish. We really loved both, although my wife wasn't crazy about their cafe de olla, which (as we now know) is very sweet. There was a short line at 9am on the Sunday we went, but they move things really fast here. There are so many other breakfast places we'd like to get to in CDMX, but I'd be stunned if many were better than this one.

This feels like one of those spots that you've been coming to all your life because your parents also went here when they were younger. It just all feels very homey, everyone who works there seems like they're all part of the same family :). This place is far from fancy and has communal tables, but that is exactly the experience you come here for. I think they are one of the few places that still cook their stews in those ceramic pots. They are very popular, so either come on a weekday (we went on a Wednesday around 10:30am and waited for around 20 min), or really early to avoid lines. The lines seem to move relatively fast though since breakfast here is quite simple and people don't seem to linger at communal tables. They're so popular they even have valet service outside haha. I can't say the food is amazing, but I think the experience itself is cool to have. I wouldn't recommend that you go out of your way to visit, there's a lot of good food everywhere you go in CDMX, even street food! We tried the super famous refritos con huevo (they have small or large size) - refried black beans with egg - this may not look super appetizing, but it is pretty hearty and good! They give you some tortillas on the side, we wrapped it like a taco but I also saw others ripping it up and then dipping it in the refritos. There is also salsa on the table that you can add! We also ordered the chilaquiles con huevo. I would say this was actually too sour for my taste. For dessert, we ordered their two last churros (woohoo!), but honestly they were so large that we could have just shared one. We also each had a cup of their cafe de olla, which basically tastes like sweetened powdered coffee haha. Great experience!
